We relax, we play, we laugh, we take photos – and yes, we write. Because words, just like the waves of our sea, have the power to travel far. They tell stories, awaken emotions, and hold the memories of who we are. 

We tell the story of Marina di Venezia also through the words that fill the pages of this magazine – the very place where you are reading these lines – which comes to life each month with two new articles. They are stories about us, about our land and its traditions, about our culinary delights, about the love we hold for the environment that welcomes us and that we are committed to protecting every day. 

Writing, for us, is a way to give value to the time spent here. It is a way of remembering, of capturing what might otherwise fade with the tide. Even on our social channels – Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok – where images are often the stars, words are never missing. They allow us to continue the conversation with you, to give voice to emotions, to weave images into a greater story: the story of Marina di Venezia, and of all those who live it – even if only for one summer. 

Marina di Venezia has always been a story written by many hands. This is proven by the three books that, over the years, have narrated our adventure. The first, Una vacanza lunga cinquant’anni (A Holiday Fifty Years Long), published in 2008 to celebrate our 50th anniversary, is a precious treasure chest of memories. Author Elena Bazzolo collected real stories – moments truly lived during countless summers – told by those who experienced them or witnessed them firsthand. Funny and curious anecdotes, tender and unpredictable moments, sometimes true adventures, but above all, stories of friendships born between tents, of loves that blossomed under the summer sun, of children who grew up and now return with families of their own. 

Five years later came the second volume, Di nuovo in vacanza (Back on Holiday), created to celebrate 55 summers at Marina di Venezia. There were so many beautiful stories that it would have been impossible to contain them all in a single book – because at Marina di Venezia, something new always happens. Every summer brings new encounters, new smiles, new emotions. Once again, the protagonists were our staff members, the owners of our shops and venues, the long-standing employees, and, of course, our cherished guests. 

The third volume, Il mio Marina di Venezia – Ricordi, emozioni e racconti (My Marina di Venezia – Memories, Emotions, and Stories), was published in 2018 on the occasion of our 60th anniversary, completing the trilogy. This time, however, it was you who wrote the story. Our guests – the true protagonists of Marina di Venezia – shared their memories, emotions, and unforgettable moments. Each story became a small piece of a mosaic that continues to grow, season after season. 

And so today, within this blog, we want to bring some of those stories back to light. 
Because every word written holds a fragment of Marina di Venezia. 

Yes, at Marina di Venezia, we write. We write with our hearts, with sand still between our toes, with the murmur of the sea as our soundtrack. We write to remember, to share, to keep the magic alive – the magic of a place that, for almost seventy years, has been a home for all who love the sea, nature, and endless summer.
