Strolling Along the Listón: Markets, Events, and Endless Surprises

At Marina di Venezia Camping Village, summer comes alive along the Listón, the vibrant central avenue that transforms each evening into a stage for music, markets, and events. Beneath twinkling lights, amidst colourful stalls and irresistible aromas, guests are invited to discover something new every night — the perfect way to savour balmy summer evenings in a warm, festive atmosphere. 

 But why “Listón”? The word originates from ancient Venetian, still today describing the main promenade of a town — a place to stroll, to meet, to shop, and to enjoy a bite to eat. True to this tradition, our Listón is the most beloved meeting point at Marina di Venezia, cherished by young and old alike. 

Every Wednesday and Friday from 6 p.m., the promenade brims with creativity at the bustling craft market: stalls overflowing with handmade treasures, refined décor, regional delicacies, and small works of art, each revealing the skill and passion of local artisans. 

 The highlight of every evening is without doubt the Baby Dance. At 8:15 p.m., Piazza La Terrazza comes alive with children dancing to their favourite tunes. Joyful steps, cheerful melodies, and boundless energy turn the square into a heart-warming family celebration. 

 Among the many highlights animating the Listón, “We Love Italy” on 15 August — Ferragosto — holds a special place: a vibrant tribute to the country and the essence of la dolce vita. The day brims with authentic flavours, traditional dishes, and regional products, inviting everyone to celebrate and embrace the Italian way of life. 

Each season brings its own festivity: the Sunflower Market lights up the summer with golden blooms, while autumn arrives with the Pumpkin Festival on 10 and 11 September — warm colours, creative displays, weaving workshops, and themed cooking classes. And then, the most unexpected surprise: Christmas Markets in August, complete with festive lights, sparkling décor, and even the magical Santa’s Elf Parade on 29 August. 

For wine lovers, “Buono Oltre il Gusto” on 2 October is unmissable. Curated by renowned oste Mauro Lorenzon, select wineries present their finest vintages, personally introduced by the producers themselves — a celebration of the region’s winemaking art. 

 Every event along the Listón is an invitation to explore, to smile, and to create memories that last a lifetime.
