From the very first moment you encounter us, the lion is there – welcoming you on our website, smiling from brochures, marking our official communications, and proudly printed on souvenirs that carry a piece of your holiday spirit back with you.

But did you know that our lion hasn’t always looked this way? 

? The earliest version of our logo was inspired by none other than the Lion of Saint Mark – the historic symbol of Venice. Winged and wise, it represents not only strength, but also spiritual depth and heritage. Our original design paired the lion with a radiant sun, later framed within a triangle – giving the mark a more institutional, even solemn feel.

Over time, this look evolved. The triangle disappeared, the lion stood freer – still static in posture, clad in blue and white, but with the first hints of transformation.

The real leap forward came in the 1990s, when a renowned design agency helped us redefine our visual identity. Out of this creative process emerged the lion we know today – dynamic, approachable, unmistakably modern. A symbol no longer bound to tradition alone, but fully alive with the vitality of the experience we offer. And with it came new colors: the warm red and sunny yellow that have since become our signature, reflecting the joy and welcoming spirit that await every guest.
