Staying in touch in winter

Shall we have a word? How many times have we spoken on the phone, in person, via email, on social media! During the off-season, we miss hearing your comments, observations, insights, and personal experiences here with us.  

 After all the hustle and bustle is over and done with, we would still like to keep the conversation going. Our offices remain up and running, and there is always someone there to respond to your emails and answer the phone to help clarify any questions you might have. During the winter months we to continue hearing from you via our easy-to-fill-in questionnaires you received at the end of your holiday. 

 These are a series of questions we ask you when you get home, to get your opinion and your suggestions and criticism. We’re interested in your views, suggestions and even any criticisms you might have of your time spent with us. It may be to do with your overall impression or the quality of the accommodation and services, recreational activities, shops, restaurants, as well as the beach itself. In short, everything and anything to do with the Marina di Venezia camping village!  

 We welcome any suggestions you might have, encouraging you to freely express yourself so we can understand where and how we can improve.  

 You might well wonder if we actually bother to read all your answers and if we are prepared to act on your recommendations. The answer is that not only does your opinion matter a lot, it’s also our main source of inspiration! 

Innovations often originate from your ideas.

For instance, the idea of providing sanitary services on the beach was largely as the result of guests’ feedback. Many of you complained about the lack of toilet facilities, changing rooms and showers on the beach. Clearly, installing such facilities is not something that can be achieved overnight. This can be a lengthy process requiring municipal approvals, environmental permits, and various other inevitable bureaucratic procedures. But in the end, it was certainly worth it and on our beach there are now 6 service blocks for the convenience of our guests! 

 Whose idea was it to introduce the “CamperClean” cleaning stations? The newly introduced sanitary systems in fact originated from one of your proposals. To be honest, we didn’t even heard of it as it’s not widely used in Italy. However, during our enquiries we realised its numerous advantages so the first one was installed as soon as it was possible in service block no. 8 and the following year another one appeared in block 9.  

Insulation and heating was more recently introduced in the central restrooms to meet the needs of those who visit us during the colder seasons. 

 Your observations and comments regarding maintenance issues and some shortcomings are also fundamental. Despite their less visible background operation, properly functioning systems are essential in keeping our services running at a high standard.  

 We don't just read and listen to your comments, experiences, and suggestions. At our administration offices, we discuss and carefully consider each of your proposals – irrespective of whether issues are raised by a number of visitors, or only one. Because sometimes the intuition of an individual can lead to a collective solution.  

As we peruse and respond to your comments and reviews, it’s clear that we care about what you think. Your feedback is an invaluable source of direct user information enabling us to understand how best to deal with issues raised and the best way forward.  

 “Although I repeat the same suggestion every year, nothing seems to change”. Sounds familiar? Yes, it can happen – you might raise an issue or idea, and although we respond positively nothing happens. We ask you to please understand that not everything depends on us, nor is it feasible to immediately address all problems. Sometimes, there are approvals and permits involved and technical requirements that need to be sorted out. There may also be other circumstances that also prevent us from acting as swiftly as we would like.  

 However, you can be sure that we always do our best – and do all we can to find the right solutions. This year saw the completion of the impressive new Marina Sporting area  and we enriched the playground with a majestic new attraction. We are also working on a number of other new initiatives designed to further enhance your vacation experience!  

 And please remember: if our services continue to improve, it’s mostly thanks to you!
